Fiserv in talks with Australian banks
Brookfield, Wis. Check-processing firm Fiserv is in
negotiations with three major Australian banks Commonwealth Bank of
Australia, National Australia Bank and Westpac
Banking Corporation to manage the
Vipro check processing system. If negotiations are completed
successfully, the three banks would form a joint venture that would
have all processing operations managed by Fiserv.
Herrera to join Conjugons board of directors
Madison, Wis. Biotechnology company Conjugon announced on
Monday that Guillermo Herrera, former senior vice president of
Abbott Laboratories, will be appointed to Conjugons board of
directors. CEO Christopher Price said in a statement that Herreras
experience in the pharmaceutical field will be a valuable tool to
the company as they continue to develop ways to counter
antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Johnson Controls partners with automotive firms
Milwaukee Automotive supplier Johnson Controls announced on
Monday that it has joined two automotive organizations. Autosar is
a partnership of major automakers to establish industrial standards
for
cars electronics. It will supply
definitions to be installed in Johnsons
software. The LIN Consortium
works to create an open standard for serial-bus systems, such as
the garage-door opener Johnson permanently installs in its
vehicles.
